Many times the airlines have confiscated my oil paints from me. Even though they are made with Walnut Oil. Once in Palm Springs California Airport I was wondering why they where calling my name. I was all settled in and waiting for my plane. Next thing I know I am leaving the airport to find a Fed Ex box to mail my paints home because they would not allow them on the airplane.

Even though my Graham Oil paints are Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) safe for air travel I have had airlines remove my paints from my checked and/or carry on luggage. It is up to the airlines and I have been told even the pilot to make the final decision.

The solution I have found is to send my paints on ahead of me in a US Mail Priority Mail box. It is about $5.95 including tax. So today I have sent off my Paints to the Hamptons where I will be painting next week. It only takes US Mail 2 or 3 days to get my items to the next location.
