We may use art selfishly to explain our self and our existence.

If we choose to associate ourselves with impressionist painters, western art or realism are we not just trying to create for our self a sense of belonging? If we say no one can relate to us are we either horribly bad or amazingly creative? We are alone as all are alone as Christ was alone on the cross and even before the cross, though many where physically around him. He also tried to explain himself, but very few people listened. And many who listened still did not understand. It must have been very frustrating for him.

I know it is for me when no one can listen or understand to what I am trying to convey. In our work are we trying to communicate something only artists understand? Or are other able to sense what is beyond knowledge and the verbal, in yet the visual paradise. I see artist making sketches, enjoying painting, like they are all  in a world of them-self. Enjoying what only reward may be in praise or appreciation of what they hold inside and are able to capture in some small portion in their artwork. Not money as so many seek in this world. A greater good? Enjoying the communion of a workshop endeavor or focus, artist seem to merge together in spirit, strength and purpose. Maybe it is worship of the creator for what he has created and we want to reflect (to give back or exhibit as an image, likeness, or mirror).

Thank you for life Christ and the visuals you allow us to enjoy and interpret. We are all trying but our purpose is not as clear as yours was when you lived on the earth.

I want to enjoy all of your creation in the artwork I choose to capture and explain, and lastly the people (artists) you have provided here for us on earth.

I would enjoy meeting you in my National Tour. I hope God will bring those who want to enjoy art to the fullest. https://www.darylurig.com/workshops-and-learning.aspx
