Uncompromising scale and heavy pigment
A silent digital exhibition space dedicated to the raw physical presence, monumental scale, and dramatic chiaroscuro of Daryl Urig's original oil paintings.

A lifetime in paint
Painting is my lifelong spark. From the moment I first touched paint as a child, it carved a path through my soul, opening doors to color, texture, and a vibrant community of artists and collectors. Each mark—whether a drip, a knife’s bold sweep, or a brush’s soft edge—tells a story, inspired by my mother’s unwavering belief.
Paint that commands space
Every canvas begins in absolute shadow and ends in light. We do not paint to decorate a wall; we layer heavy pigment to capture the raw, physical weight of existence.
Exhibited and collected worldwide
Daryl Urig has painted his entire life, creating a bridge to artists and collectors alike. A Columbus College of Art & Design graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, he designed for Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson for 15 years and created interactive programs for WCET. As an adjunct professor and Academic Coordinator at the University of Cincinnati, he taught for over a decade and built a four-year art program. His books—Tips for the Contemporary Painter, Plein Air Painting for Everyone, and Painting Knife Explained—share his expertise, with Echoes on Canvas coming soon. A Leisure Painter magazine contributor, his work has appeared in the Columbus and Toledo Art Museums, private collections in the U.S. and to an individual in the UK, and galleries in Cincinnati, Columbus, Chicago, and Utah. He’s shown in juried Western exhibitions like the Cheyenne Frontier Old West Museum and earned awards from the Salmagundi Club and Portrait Society of America.
