Reading Hosea in the Old Testament this morning, I came across a passage that said God loves dutiful obedience in the love we give him. And it made me think about my relationship with my wife, Robyn. Her acts of kindness every day make me love her most. I can always trust Robyn to be there for me.

Unlike Robyn, God is one big step up, He is omnipresent. And his continual acts of kindness make me love him most.

I recently realized that I have not always acted as a trusted servant to God.

I was looking at all the evil in the world, and it made me doubt Him. But what I read in Hosea was that God does see them, and will bring the to account, even provide a chance for them to be right with Him.

In my paintings, He is in charge. If I sell work, get any notice; accomplish something great, it is all His doing. I will do my best to abide in Him with dutiful obedience towards He who cares for me and has my best intentions in mind. I can trust Him.
