I have been painting Plein air and studio during my trip to the Carolinas. Plein air studies provide me an opportunity to study the affect of light, with the challenge of how to represent the light on my panel within a limited time frame.
There are definitely many challenges for the plein air painter. I figured out a few things that will really help the plein air painter that I will share in my workshops. Basically, how can I stretch time so I can accomplish a painting? Time is the culprit because light is always changing. There is not enough time to get everything in within a one or two hour time frame.
