The Shoeshiner
Original Oil painting
of Daryl Urig

This is the third in a series of paintings on American Work Ethic. Painted abstractly with no regard to any traditional approach. I am calling this style Adventurous Abstract Realism because I can develop each painting in whatever creative direction I want to explore. It is more fun this way. I did not see the painting direction the painting went coming. It truly developed as I painted.

I found this Shoeshiner in downtown Cincinnati Tower Place Mall. He may be the only one in this entire area. There is something beautiful about this profession. Maybe you can help me put it in words. I am more of a picture person.
